Day 0 - Molesey to Marquette

  Awake at 0700 and did my 3x 33 pressuos Didn’t take anything out of my bag and decided to take laptop. I had planned for 0800 departure but eventually left at 0815. Seems I missed one bus but another 461 at 0837. Flew into Kingston and was on Sl7 at 0912.  Chatted with lady who was the sign designer at the airports . Prefer the ones at Palma airport to Heathrow   Im sitting    at London Heathrow airport noticing the signage .  I’m wondering if there should be an international standard for arrivals and departures signs ?  Then again I do like the slight differences between countries.  In Spain the departures has half line to the left showing leaving the ground and the arrivals sign has half line to the right showing an approach to the ground.  In Heathrow the ground line is a continuous line .  Both arrivals signs have wheels shown on the arrivals plane .  However the Heathrow arrivals sign is a horizontal plane and the Spanish arr...

Parkrun at Brockwell

It was a good day out but I left it a bit late and it was a mad cycle from Clapham Junction to Brockwell and got there with 5 minutes to spare .  My hands and feet were frozen and my heart was beating so fast and felt so giddy . So walked after 1 Km . I know that's not good for me as once I stopped it's difficult to get going again .  Brockwell Lido has an outdoor pool which is not heated . Brrrr . Great views of Battersea , Vauxhall , Shard and London skyline .  So I cycled back via Brixton and Lambeth borough . What a colourful area ? The market was full of Carribean  veg so bought a couple of yams .  Also loved the London buses and place names Lambeth Brixton Elephant and Castle . Full of life and colour . What a great place London is .

Clapham Common

    Clapham Common - 2022 11 26 Stella Caught the 0724 train from Hampton court . Left the bike at the station so I could walk with Stella who I met at Clapham Junction .  I loved walking through Clapham a very different approach to a park run and Stella saw the cafe where we would have pan de chocolait post patkrun .  Loads of activity in the park . Walkers , bikers and dog walkers . Very friendly two laps .  Cofffe , roll and brolioche in Clapham before we take our different trains home .  We took the 7:24 That delivered us to the door  Of the Clapham park run Give us more of this Saturday fun It was quite funny that Stella had deposited her token without scanning . She searched the boxes and was able to scan . Including here photos of Clapham high street . It’s part of the parkrun experience.  ,  .
