T20 Surrey v Glamorgan Oval

 An evening out with Tony Ireland . 

Match starts at 1830 so Tony picked me up and we drove to Hampton Court caught 1625 train in Vauxhall by 1700. At the oval the England v Australia first test was coming to an exciting end . So loads people watching and good atmosphere as obe Australian goes down . 

The test match did not finish early . Actually it went beyond the 1830 start time so we used an ear pod each to listen to the match on bbc sounds . Australia won with one wicket to spare. 

I bought the tickets in the wrong part of the ground . Tony wanted an east facing seat to avoid the sun . I ended up with west facing and the sun was strong . I had thought the pavilion was north but it was on the south . 

Surrey won easily as they batted first scoring 240 ish and Glamorgan list wickets in the chase . Very different to the Surrey v Middlesex on Thursday where Surrey scored 253 record for T20 only for Middlesex to smash it and win with a batting record of their own . 

Excellent evening out and match finished at 2130 ish home at 2300.
