New Years Day - 2023
Well , I got up early to do my greeter service at the early morning 0730 to 0845 sunrisers zoom meeting . My last service position as I'm giving it up as well as my Thursday room closure service . This is being done as I can't commit to the 0730 starts . This week hopefully will see the end of the journeys to Wales , we'll see.
Off I went to the Banstead woods parkrun, I think I found it , and it would be quite undulating, maybe good for a good hike really . But nobody else there, not the usual hubbub and activity of a parkrun, the volunteers , the runners warming but , This time just a few dog walkers. Well its a Sunday so not the normal day but I thought I had checked it out for a New Years day run obviously I was wrong.
Mind you , I was tired after getting to bed at 0115 , stayed up a little too much to listen to Jools Holland and his orchestra. Last night I had a curry with Dawn Moriaty over at Ashtead and home by 2315. Then when I saw the facebook and strava posts I have missed out on the Richmond New Years cycling get together , Alan Immeson and Colin Garrod went to Mole Valley park run. In retrospect I should have gone cycling.
Neil and Joy called as they have moved to Winshester 15 months ago. Returning my call , Neil is not driving he cant see and the duties pass to Joy but she doesn't like driving. He did mention that the surveyor had not picked up on a few things wrong with the house and its a colder house.
So , also I passed on a Darren and Stella walk , and a Maria and Kayla lunch and I rested indoors by looking at one resolution ,,,, Tarot cards. No they are not for me. What I need is something with positive action not interpreting some cards. Stumbled on how to improve the parkrun. Another bit of success , scored 15/15 on the facebook quiz. 100% wow wee. So really a relaxing afternoon. Need to get my Spanish homwework done.
Maria and Kayla brought some Turron nougat and some biscuits back for me . Delicious.
Planning my week in Wales - Jeremy on Tuesday .
Might take the Christmas tree down tomorrow so that I can start afresh when I return from Wales.
