End of 2019

 The following is a list of ten resolutions that I hope to complete in 2019. Let’s see how it goes.


  • Complete 500 piece jigsaw

This was completed in Jan/Feb using quiet nights in , sometimes 5 hours at a time relaxing and listening to the radio. A perfect antidote to cold , dark , Winter nights.

  • Exercise 30 mins each day

Although , I probably didn’t do 30 mins each day . generally I was active most days and taken up Walking football, CTC cycling , Hiking abroad in Madeira , Malta and Sicilly. Also lots of walking in the Hebrides and Michigan. The backend of the year I took a membership out at Xcel Walton , so plenty of spinning.

In November 2019 , my steps count was a daily average of 9200.

  • Complete 19 park runs in 3 different locations

Ha , I was hoping to get to 50 runs , but I think I am still in the 30s. Nevertheless did one with Gareth in Cardiff and supported him on his 10K in Mumbles . I have suffered with muscle twinges throughout the year so cannot get out to do the runs . Maybe this will appear on next year’s list.

  • Make contact with 3 old friends in January

happy with this one as, I have had a healthy contact with Elmer, Kevin Mackay , Jay , Andrew Evans and Jeremy throughout the year.

  • Cycle to Mediterranean

Unfortunately incomplete. will carry over to next year.

  • Build website

  • Study Spanish

Spanish lessons going well, along with Spanish tea get together. In 2020 will increase the intenstity , more lessons , duolingo .
